On Monday I had a chance to work with Mark and Corinne as he surprised her with a proposal! He really wanted to do it somewhere with incredible views. His choice was to propose to her on the Banff Gondola on Sulphur Mountain. I took an early tram in order to be in place, and not too long after these two arrived. Mark had a great distraction by setting up his tripod like he was going to take a picture. The timing couldn't have been better. Just as he was setting it up it seemed like all the other people on the platform cleared out, and just left the two of them. It couldn't have been more perfect. As with Banff, weather is always a concern. It's always hard to properly time the best weather window possible. It seems when most people visit that is the number one question I get, and it's a legitimate concern. I was going to be on the first tram up the mountain at 10am. As I headed to the mountain it was snowing. By the time we headed up the mountain and took the photos around 11am it was sunny, clear and beautiful!
After the proposal on Sulphur Mountain we headed down to spend sometime at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. We had the whole place to ourselves.
